Yes after a very long period blender 2.53 beta has been released :D.
the list of improvements is immense as you would know if you have been following my tours ;) but there is quite alot that i havn't covered particularly the Sculpt+multires overhaul, which allows HUGE amounts of verts ( >8 million at work using a uv sphere as base) and uncountable new tools and options and of course Addon's :),
i'll give a little news, the Ivy generator is being made for 2.5 as we speak ;)
so Head out and Grapb yourself Blender2.53 Beta :)
PS, i will be doing more tours once i get some system and ffmpeg issues sorted. so i havn't abandoned this yet :D

You've gotta be kidding, Ivy Generator, the awesome tool I have waited two years now for an update - and then there is not only an update but it even comes into my favourite 3d editing program *tears in eyes*....

Yeap... This is something great indeed. Another milestone. :D
But 8 million is just scratching surface really. I got more than 51.5 million with my pc with 8Gb of ram and it works quite well too when sculpting. Though it's pretty much the maximum with that amount of memory, Undo once makes it go over to the virtual memory... Watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fT_hkSbK8Iw ;P
